Biswajeet Mohapatra-STATE LEAD

Biswajeet has 23 years of development experience working at the field, Sub-district, district and at state level. He was associated with development organisations like UNICEF, UNFPA, CARE-India, DFID, European Commission and projects implemented in collaboration with the Government of India and government of Odisha. With those organizations Biswajeet has focused on project implementation, monitoring, evaluation, partnership building with governments, local innovations, need-based capacity building and strengthening stakeholder networking. His focus areas are maternal and child health, adolescent health, immunisation, drought response, HIV/AIDS, sex-selective abortion, the dignity of the girl child and other key underlying causes associated with it.   Prior to joining MNM, Biswajeet was the team leader of a Global Fund Supported, Intensified Malaria Control Project (IMCP-3) implemented at around 1200 high endemic, inaccessible, and dense forested villages of high API districts of Odisha. He was managing and mentoring a dedicated team of around 90 professionals based at the State, district, and at Sub-district level in close programme partnership with State NVBDCP, District NVBDCP, District administration, and National Health Mission. He holds a master’s degree in political science having Political Sociology as a special paper from Century old Ravenshaw University. He also holds bachelor’s degree in law with master’s in business administration and health Care Administration as a special paper.
