Health Care

“Health care is not a privilege. It’s a right. It’s a right as fundamental as civil rights. It’s a right as fundamental as giving every child a chance to get a public education.”

– Rod Blagojevich

Basic healthcare facilities should be provided and made available for people, irrespective of the strata of the society they belong to. However, our country still struggles with providing health care, especially when it concerns women. In association with our partners, Prayatna raises awareness regarding health issues as well as makes sure that everyone has access to such facilities. The areas where our organization lays emphasis on are:

  • Organisation of Health camps and Immunisation Campaigns.
  • Awareness drives around disease prevention programmes for Malaria, Kala azar, HIV etc.
  • Menstrual and Adolescent Health.
  • Water and sanitation programmes.
  • Nutrition and Hygiene improvement.
  • Promotion of Active Healthy Living.
  • Awareness on appropriate health seeking behavior.
