The definition for sustainable development is “development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs”. Sustainable development and the environment go hand in hand, where preserving the environment is the goal. To work towards a sustainable future, the UN designed a collection of 17 goals. For India, a country that is moving towards development, we cannot ignore sustainable development and climate change. The formulation of sustainable development policies in India, has been a priority for the government.
