Faiyaz S. Barejiya is a seasoned development professional with over seven years of experience in education, health, livelihoods, and climate resilience. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology (BSc IT), a Diploma in United Nations Studies, and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Sardar Patel University.
Currently serving as the Head Trainer at Prayatna, Faiyaz leads the SEED project under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, implementing impactful training programs in Gujarat and Haryana to uplift marginalized communities. His expertise spans grassroots-level capacity building, stakeholder collaboration, and sustainable development initiatives.
Faiyaz has spearheaded diverse livelihood initiatives, emphasizing both farm and non-farm enterprise development. He has effectively mobilized farmers and SHGs to adopt innovative approaches, including peanut farming diversification, papaya cultivation, and the development of microenterprises. Through his roles with prominent organizations such as the Aga Khan Agency for Habitat, Kaivalya Education Foundation, Piramal Foundation, and Reach to Teach, Faiyaz has played a pivotal role in strengthening urban climate resilience, driving educational reforms, and delivering impactful healthcare solutions.
